The Alliance for Global Justice once more is urging people to send the following email to their Senators to demand NO WAR WITH VENEZUELA! This war is being pushed by President Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. There is no justification for war with Venezuela under any circumstances. And there is no justification for the tyrannical overreach of a president who believes the power to declare war is his own private right. Democratic Senator Tim Kaine and Republican Senator Rand Paul are calling for a vote as early as this week prohibiting unauthorized military strikes against Venezuela.

Following is the email text, which you can edit as desired to put in your own words.

Dear Senator,

I call on you to vote in favor of the bi-partisan resolution prohibiting military action against Venezuela without Congressional approval. The threat of war is based on lies. There is no credible evidence that Venezuela plays a major role in narco production or trafficking. This war is about foreign interference and regime change.

War with Venezuela would be a betrayal of the people of the United States. It would trap us in a morass of continuous war and cost us lives and resources better kept at home. For Congress to cede its power to declare or not declare war robs the U.S. people of their representation.

War with Venezuela would be a betrayal of the people of all the Américas. We are family! We, the People, are all children of the New World. We rebelled against the authority of Europe's kings and we rebelled against slavery in pursuit of our dreams of liberation, peace, and justice. As a US-er, I stand with my sisters and brothers to the South to demand No War with Venezuela, No war with Latin America, No theft of the U.S. people's lives and resources to fight an unjust war!
