FOLLOWING IS AN ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF THE EMAIL THAT WILL BE SENT TO COLOMBIAN AUTHORITIES:

The workers of Colombia and all the Colombian people have the right to demonstrate and march for their just demands free of concern for their safety. As an internationalist, I demand that the national government and the mayor of Bogotá respect their rights to protest without risk of violent repression by ESMAD and other segments of the public force. Furthermore, I add my voice to all the strikers' demands, especially for compliance with the peace accords, and that President Iván Duque negotiate in good faith with the national strike committee.
