The Honduras Solidarity Network is supporting COPINH and Berta Cáceres’ family and loved ones who are right now involved in the court proceedings or are providing accompaniment during the trial of David Castillo for Berta’s Assassination.
The Feminist Encampment Berta Lives - Berta Vive has been set up outside the Honduran Supreme Court for 17 days to accompany the trial, celebrate Berta’s life and struggle, and demand justice for Berta. During that time they have been harassed and repressed but plan to continue their presence there. In order to continue their permanent presence outside the courthouse, provide food, shelter, medical support and other essential items for all the people - mostly women - involved in the encampment and trial support, they have asked us to help with a short-term emergency fund raiser.
Please make a donation if you are able to do so. This fundraiser will be ongoing until Wednesday, June 2nd ! You can also send a check made payable to Alliance for Global Justice/HSN with Feminista in the memo line and mail to 225 E. 25th Street, Suite 1, Tucson, AZ 85713.
